Mao’s Last Dancer.
Having learnt about Mao and China for what seems like all of my high school History life, it is really interesting to see an interpretation of what living during the cult of Mao was like. It’s terrifying. Astounding. The levels of worship (and indoctrination, I suppose) are unimaginable.
An electrifying watch, and the dancing is just beautiful.
(And there is a small moment of Die Fledermaus… so much love.)
